Can any tell me how i find out what DVD's ( - or + )i need to use on my compuet to make movies?

Google the make and model number of your DVD writer - that'll usually tell you somewhere

Right, here's the update. I bought some TDK 4.7GB DVD-R's , apparently i can use both + & - , transfered my movie from the PC to the DVD but my DVD player states "BAD DISK" and nothing happens. The DVD player plays both + & - recordable DVD's so what could be the problem now? Is it worth trying a different brand of disk?

PLEASE HELP ME OUT OF THIS MISERY :(
