installing printer

I am trying to instal an HP Photosmart printer. I have an HP computer, with Vista. I keep getting an onscreen message telling me the installation is being blocked by these issues:
slbcsp.dll
sccbase.dll
gpkcsp.dll
Enum
I am supposed to resolve them and retry.
I have no idea what they mean or how to resolve them. Can anyone help? Is it the Vista system?

I have a Home Network Problem with mixture of XP & Vista PC's

Plowter, a thousand thanks. My apologies for taking so long to come back to you but I've been following the instructions from the site you gave me. I am delighted to say I now have a working printer again. More power to your arm!
