My DVD Camcorder disk will not play!! Help!!

I've just got back from holiday and my camcorder dvd disk will not play after finalising it. I had three disks, two worked fine and the third one had an error during finalising - but the error message followed with the option of being able to re do the finalising - which i did but now the disk won't work at all and I can't get it to play in either a dvd player or the camcorder. Can I still get the data off the disk somehow?? it's not scratched or damaged in any other way. Many thanks.

If the camera won't play it's own disc ,then it looks bad. Have you tried to look at the dvd on a pc? You may be able to use software such as dvdshrink 3.2 (which is free to download and use) or dvd decrypter (also freeware) to get at your data these tools are usually used for accessing commercial dvds but may work with your dvd

Thanks pug100 - that's great -will have a go with either or both of the software data you've mentioned. Agree it doesn't look good that the actual camera won't even play the thing. Very annoying - had to happen to a holiday disk too!!! Fingers crossed!!
