dvd rw drive (E:)

cannot use dvd player ,cd's ok .tried everything ,check properties it say ..location (0) can anyone point me in right direction ,im going nuts ,any help appreciated thks

If it is a new PC or laptop then it will probably support DVDs.

If it is an older PC or laptop then maybe it does not support DVDs (older PCs and laptops supported CDs but not DVDs).

Can you tell us more about the device you are trying to play it on (PC, Laptop, new, second hand, and as Ethel says has it ever worked)

hi its a pc ,with windows xp ,it has worked ,installed nero 's burning ,that worked for a while ,changed ,internet security and neither has worked since ,tried device manager both are working,checked errors log and they are blocked ,checked properties and it jusy says location (o)where have they gone? be grateful for any help thks jf
