which is the best cable router for virgin ?
5 Answers
i am looking to get a cable router for my virgin broadband, i need one with a usb/dongle included, i have been looking but am not sure if the basic 35 one will be ok, i just need to put my computer in a different room without having virgin sting me with their *relocation fees* to move my cable to the rear of the house!

Linksys also do good ones too:

Personally I think Netgear routers are easiler for non-technicals.
(Neither have a dongle included, this is often a special offer available, but not right now from that site. You can just get any one though, doesn't matter which. Ideally same brand as the router.)

i have found this a currys, what do you reckon ? http://www.currys.co.uk/ and its NETGEAR WGB111BDL
I use a Netgear WGR614, picked up just before Christmas at PC World. It came with a USB dongle and although it doesn't have the best range, it works well through most of the house.
The only problem I had was after installing the dongle - it messed up the XP logon screen, but that was easily fixed with the help of a file called XP_FixLogon.zip
