Ok a little naughty this one. My household is running two computers (one desktop and one laptop) The laptop is connected wirelessly to my modem/router and my desktop connected to the modem/router by ethernet cable. My other half is in another room using the laptop. I know she is upto something on the laptop but I cant access it because it has a bios password and a logon password. Can I see what she is sending through and receiving through the internet with the setup I have? As all traffic is obviously going through the modem/router, im wondering if I can intercept it somehow..

Use an app like Wireshark (it's free).
My router has a log in its admin pages - it shows who is accessing which website.

Yours may be similar.

But really - don't do it.

I've downloaded Wireshark but have found it to be very complicated. How do I get it to just receive traffic from IP address 192.168.11.3 (the laptop)

At the moment it is picking up allsorts of stuff and none of it in normal english such as conversations etc.
It won't, it's a packet analyser. What you're wanting to do is quite complicated, and wireshark is perhaps the simplest of those available. There's plenty of help in their wiki and forums online though.
