Adaware

I have had the old free edition of Adaware on this computer for the last couple of years and it has always worked perfectly. I recently downloaded the new free 2007 version and it starts and runs until it says checking the Register and then everything freezes and I have to switch off at the mains. Am I doing something wrong, please, or should I switch to something else and if so what?

I'm having no problems with the new AdAware.

Is your firewall blocking it?

If you can't think of anything else, try uninstalling and re-installing.

Hi .sissimarissa' ...........like 'ethel' my new Adware works fine.......when you re-install turn-off your anti-virus software(if you didn't do that the first time) ......that is always recommended for the installation of new software. Apparantly, it can effect the installation process.
