web cams

Can anyone tell me simple easy language on how to set up a web camera. I have one which I want to be able to link up to my home when I am away!! I have read the instructions and tried msn and skype, but still am failing to get it running. Pleeeeese keep it simple, as i am!! Regards.

hi chassy...i had a bit of trouble getting mine to work...have you dowloaded,and updated the drivers for that webcam ???

Yes cheers for that. The web cam works ok, its just getting it to talk to, or connect to another laptop that is the problem.
