nero 8 install problem

I have a new computer, running Vista.
My back up files for the old one (running XP) were made on Nero 6 Re Loaded.
When I tried to install Nero 6 Re Loaded, I got a message that Vista does not accept it and to contact Nero for an update.
This I did, & bought Nero 8 (Expensive!)
I downloaded what Nero sold me, recieved a disc in the post , and uninstalled the bit of Nero 6 that was remaining on the new machine.
When I try to install Nero 8 (They sent me a Trial version!) I keep being told that Nero 6 has to be uninstalled,& I have done !!!
I have e mailed Nero, & told that I DO NOT have to uninstall 6 !!
WHAT DO I DO ??????
I still cannot install Nero 8 !!

i had similar problems with my nero 7. i had to download a cleaning tool from nero http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-cleantools.h tml you will possibly have to use both the 6 and 8 tool first. rebooting each time. then install your new nero 8. i hope this helps
