windows ME media player update

Anybody know how i can download a copy of windows media player to put on my sony vaio notebook thats running ME? i need to put on a disc then put on the notebook as i am not connected to the net with the notebook.PS the notebook has windows media player but i want to update to the latest player

Choose the version for ME, save it to a location of your choice, then copy it to CD or Memory stick

I'm at a bit of a loss
the ME in windows me stands for media edition (not minellium (I never could say minellium!) as some think)

so media player is one of the central apps in this version ...

And I always thought it stood Myalgic Encephalitis!

But it does say on the box "Millennium Edition", (I've just checked)

never seen the box ..... I read it in a book (one of Microsoft's!)
se is still my favourite OS

but the principle is correct ... ME was released to "combat" the apple threat which included firewire and a movie editor.

I still can't see how MP is missing
