it scored 5/5 when it was reviewed ....
and as an all-in-one it covers all your needs (360' in fact!)
avira http://www.free-av.com/
is a better free option
but it's your decision.
is it in add remove under symantec rather than norton?
odd that there isn't an uninstaller
anyhow ... look here for the remover

With Windows you normally go to the Control Panel and select "Add and remove programs" and from the list select Norton then uninstall.
I know people have had problems uninstaling Norton although never done it myself.
NEVER delete programs direct from Windows explorer it leaves all sorts of things on your PC which can cause problems.

I think what he's saying is that there are two ways to uninstall a program
the first ... we like this ;-)
in the start menu ... some (but not all) progs have more than one option in their start menu folder often one of the options will be uninstall.
alternatively (this should always work
in windows 3/3.1/3.11/95/98/2000/XP
goto control panel ... open Add or Remove Programs
in Vista
it's control panel ... Programs and Features
... select the prog in question ... hi-light and use the remove button.
in all versions of windows including Vista
there is a second way - we don't like this ;-(
open explorer (or file manager)
locate the folder containing the program to be 86ed
highlight ... press the delete button.
the problem here ....
when you install a prog ... you put files into a number of different places (not always obvious)
so if installing MyProg
you'll get a folder c:\program files\MyProg
we'll also bung a couple of files into c:\windows
we'll update a .dll file in c:\windows\system32
drivers into c:\windowssystem32\drivers
we'll then add some keys to the registry (which is the working index for windows)
to say what we've done (and to help the uninstaller)
so while deleting the program folder WILL get rid of some of the files - it will leave a lot of detritus scattered everywhere ... and windows could well continue loading drivers etc for something that doesn't exist
if you want to see what's going on when you install aprog
