hi all
can you help.
my niece has a laptop with an external webcam
when she is on msn and starts the cam up her laptop shut's down she then reboots and webcam works
why????

How much is pluged into the usb ports? if it's a lot it could be drawing to much power from the port when the camera starts, try unplugging everything else from the usb.

or try uninstalling all of the webcam software and drivers and reinstalling them.

it is just the camera plugged in but i will try uninstalling the software thanks
