how do i backup on to wd external hd from windows xp

Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

Read and Follow all directions (especially if you're a Male lol) and you'll be sweet.

what are you trying to back up?
the machine or data stored on the machine ....
for simple data jobs sync toy is adequate

if it's your machine .... you need disc imaging software such as acronis

the files and setting wiz is what it says .... it's for transfering settings (and files) it's not meant to be a backup solution


failing all that .... just drag the files over
