I have a new computer with a built-in memory card reader (with different slots for different card types).

These show up in Windows Explorer as drive, G, H, F, I, J etc.

Is it possible to assign names to the drives so it's obvious which one to go to to see what's on the camera card?

I have Windows Vista Ultimate.

You certainly can in XP, simply by right clicking on the relevant drive in My Computer and clicking 'rename'.

Does this work in Vista?

I know you can do it for hard drives, but can you do it for devices with removable storage (CD/DVD drives, memory sticks, cards)?
