I've joined a discussion group but haven't so far posted any questions/answers as it looks as though my email address will be shown and I don't particularly want this to happen. Is there any way of hiding it?

You say 'it looks as though my email address will be shown ' , often there is a box to check saying something like 'do not show my email address ' . Is there such on the site you are talking about ?

Why not create a new web based email address with someone like gmail or similar, there are dozens out there, and use that one instead of your usual address

I can't find an 'uncheck' box, Billysugger, but I'll have another look. I don't really want to create a second email address but will if it's the only solution. Thanks to both.
