it's a Panasonic 100hz widescreen jobbie, but about 8 years old. I got the socket thingy you said, but when I turn on the Sharp theatre system it goes straight to a Sharp screen, and asks for a disk (oops, mis-typed and had to correct!). I tried pressing the TV/AV button on the remote, but can't get past that screen.
