pop ups!!

Hi guys I am unable to use some sites because my pop-ups are not allowed ! any ideas please.

ehm...is there a yellow bar up the top of the screen? if so click it and choose to 'allow pop ups temporarily' or to 'allow pop ups for this site'

guys,its my sons laptop and he's not here at the moment,but he thinks its a virus?

well, weeal, I've just opened an ie browser (I use Firefox usually) and top right it says "tools" with a little cog icon. if you click you get a drop down list and you can see "pop up blocker" and can then switch it on or off.

you "should" get a little bar across the top of the page when you go to it telling you the site is trying to use pop ups, click on this and select allow popups from this site.

If that doesn't work then you may have another popup blocker installed, a lot of the additional toolbars for IE include them (llke the google toolbar, and the yahoo tool bar) so if you have some of these installed anyone of them could be stopping popups

if your using IE then download and try firefox as a simple way to get round the problem (and its better anyhow)

okay, inafix.. I don't think it sounds like a virus, you just need to find how to adjust the pop up settings. best of luck and let us know how he gets on.
