Password problem
I have a new Laptop, Windows XP and I am instructed to repeat my password on email entry. The first time IS correct and the second time, exactly the same allows access.
Is there in Control Panel or anywhere else that is asking me to enter password twice?

if it's outlook or outlook express then try....
Start > settings > control panel
Double click on user accounts, then select your user account. then at the top left click on manage my network passwords.
If you see your email server listed there delete it. then goto your mail again, it will ask you to enter your password again, do so, make sure you tick remember password. If it lets you in first time then exit from your email and try again, you may have to enter your password again the second time, click remember again. if you now exit and try again it should let you straight in without prompting for a password.

If its Hotmail its not really a fault connected with XP or Windows on the computer I wouldnt think, do you log into your email from the MSN website? do you download your email via Outlook?
Sometimes with Outlook it keeps asking for password which is annoying, the fault will probably be with Hotmail or the setup info entered in Outlook I think.

I suggest you try hard to remember your password! If you really can not reset your windows administrator password, I recommend Windows Password Seeker, passwordseeker.com
I had removed Windows password with the tool successfully on my computer. Hope it helps! You simply do as follows:
Step1, download Windows Password Seeker.
Step2. Remove your Windows Password with the tool.
If having some questions, you can read carefully at: http://www.passwordseeker.com/howtouse.html
