Does an Apple (in this case an Apple iMac G3) take the same keyboard and mouse as a normal PC?

I don't understand what you are trying to say.
You seem to be saying that because I didn't know whether a PC keyboard would work with an Apple Mac, I must be clueless with regards to IT.
In actual fact I regularly answer other people's questions in this category, but I am a complete beginner with Apple Macs.

I'm not saying anything ... but over the last couple of days you have posted quite a few questions ... no mention of them relating to MAC - I just assumed they were PC problems
2 monitors, sky/tv aerial, wireless connection, java, the google toolbar and the fact that you are unsure why IE8 isn't fully functional....
for some reason I got the idea that you were starting out -
(and there is nothing wrong with that - we all bin there)
rather than being confident in this area ....
if I'm wrong I apologise ... for the future I'll look forward to reading your answers as much as your questions
