Is a card reader a usb mass storage device ,the reason I ask is my neighbours reader is still awol ,had some advice from( lemarchand ) on the 25/11/08 and still couldnt find them the only thing I found in d/manager was this usb mass storage device with the yellow triangle on it ,and a message from windows saying its uninstalling this device code 21 ,and I am not sure thats its any thing to do with our problem

Yes it is.

Anyway if you unplug it and restart the computer, the problem in device manager will disappear if it's related to the card reader.

Did you get an installation CD with it?

The unplug and restart did the trick Koster ,why oh why dont they give advice like that with pcs instead of code 21 and windows is uninstalling this device and mass storage talk
Well Koster he didnt get a disc as such ,its an hp pc and you had to make two, this he did but we both chickened out of using them thought we could be digging the hole deeper, well thanks again for that tip we can now go back to putting the world right on our dog walks
