picasa problem

I have lost some important photos from picasa and I cannot retrieve them .Is there any way I can get them back?

download a free program called Recuva from the internet and install it and follow the steps it worked for me on photos but it was a long drawn out process

I think that losing them from Picasa doesn't lose them from your My Pictures folder. I know that if I delete them in Picasa they are still on file.
