Green lights on computer
I have a new computer, and some of it is different from the old one, of course. For instance, there is a green light at the back of the tower which glows at night (doesn't show in daylight) - is it ok for this to be on all the time, also my new modem has a switch on the back of it which I keep forgetting to switch on when I go online, so I can't. There are two green lights showing all the time on the modem. Can it be left on? Or should I switch the whole thing off at the wallplug? Will it over heat with a potential fire risk? Will it increase the electricity bill? Sorry to be so dense - there is nothing in the instruction manuals.

If there is one thing computer manufacturers love it's lights
green is a little retro - these days they are generally that eerie blue...
it sounds like the network card (often comes with an orange one at the side)... but could be anything ... if everything works- don't worry
by modem ... I'm guessing you mean router
and yes you can leave it on - mine stays on for months at a time
