Orange home page change-vis a vis- email log in.
1 Answers
Yesterday Orange changed their home page and it has caused no end of problem for me and "our Peg" because we cannot access our (FS) email accounts easily anymore.
(We have auto complete set up on the comp.)
On the "old" home page all we had to do was click on Email and our accounts would appear as a drop down.
Click on the account we wanted and up it would come with the password filled in.
Now that has all changed and we have to type in the address and password manually!
We tick "save this address" but that only saves one address at once so logging in has become a real ball ache.
Is there any way to sort this problem or should we change to a more user friendly email.
Why do they have to mess with a system that works!
Fed Up!!

Switch to using Firefox as your browser. When you fill in your details, Firefox will ask you if you want to save the password. I've got several accounts on the same website, with different usernames and passwords. I only need to enter the first letter of a username and I'm offered an auto-complete option. As soon as I accept it the password is also automatically completed.
Possible solution number 2:
Use Outlook Express (or Windows Mail if you've got Vista) to send and receive your mail. If you've not already set up Outlook Express (or Windows Mail) to use with Orange, go to Tools > Accounts and click 'Add > Mail'. Just follow the prompts, ensuring that your incoming mail server is set to be a POP3 type (with the address entered as 'pop.orange.net') and that your outgoing mail server address is entered as smtp.orange.net
