I have an Epson RX 420 printer.Now when setting up for printing the ink levels do not "light up".This has never happened before,any ideas please??

Are you now using copy cartridges rather than Epson originals? This happened when I used copies

No!these are Epson's.
goto the control panel remove all the software and then unplug the printer, reinstall the software and don't plug the printer back in until told to do so.

it's normally the easiest way to get it working again.
connect the printer to the computer correctly.
connect the power supply to the printer .

press the power switch on the printer.

check the led of the printer .light should be blinking.

uninstall the printer software from the computer.

put the CD in the computer and install the driver in the computer . install the printer software in the computer.

try to print the test page from the printer .

Thanks for your replies,I am now having problems trying to uninstall so I am unable to do the remainder of your suggestions just yet.

Uninstalled............installed ..........still no joy with the display of ink levels,I think that I'll drown myself in a bottle of ink!!!
