the @ in hotmail??

Suddenly I can only get @ by holding down arrow key and the 2 key? Why is this?

your keyboard is set to the US settings.
Go to Control Panel > Regional and language options.
alter the settings to English(UK). click apply and close.

As above, but make sure your UK keyboard is set as the default.

Some people have both the US and UK keyboards installed, but the US is the default.

You need to set it so the UK is the default.
