VirtualDub
I try and use VirtualDub as much as possible because of its versatility but there's one aspect which really confuses me.
When using paid-for video conversion programs the resultant format is fixed and can only be changed with another conversion but I find that when using VirtualDub I have to make copious notes, have an extremely good memory or use G-Spot to find its make-up.
The biggest culprit is the compression - having converted but needing just a little tweaking, unless the compression is set to the same (again) it results in an uncompressed video with all that that entails.
Am I doing it wrong or can someone give a few pointers.
