Portable hard drive

I have purchased a portable hard drive.

Is there a free programme that will load all that I have on my internal hard drive?

One that automatically backs up the new data, as one works on the base computer.

be warned though ... the real time backup doesn't half slow the machine down - I use it very occasionally for important stuff ... it's not worth it in real life ... better to use a scheduled or shutdown backup ... or if you only create new stuff occasionally - do it manually
