Windows Service Pack 2

i bought a nokia 7610 and tried to install the software, i got a message saying i must have at least Windows Service Pack 2 on my system.  i installed this but my computer refused to work! no programs would open, nothing moved except a message to say my 'dr watson ********' had crashed or wasnt responding.  i rebooted my system to the pevious day to clear the service pack (and also my nokia software).  please help?!

I'd had similar problems (along with half of the Western World) after installing SP2 & like you I took it off again.  Then someone posted this link

a while ago on AB.  I followed the instructions exactly & I managed to re-install SP2 without a hitch.  Works perfectly now.
