Making a playable disc.
6 Answers
I want to copy a youtube onto a DVD to play on my stand alone DVD player.
I have converted the file format first to a MPEG file and then converted that to a DVD file.
I first formatted a blank DVD-R disc and then burnt the DVD file onto it, then I finalised the finished disc.
Although it will play on my computer it will not play on my stand alone DVD player.
Can anyone please tell me in simple terms, where am I going wrong, or what I should have done differently?

First let me apologise the video clip that my friend told me to convert was a Real Play, I don't know if a YouTube is any different?
Anyway this is what he told me to do.
Locate Real Play file
Copy file
Paste file to desktop
Open FLV to AV1
Run
Add file
Convert to MPEG
Open WIN AV1 video converter
Select DVD
Select MPEG file
OK.
I am a complete novice at this game, can you please put me on the right track, similar to how I have laid it out?
If Real Player clips and YouTube clips are different would you be good enough to show me how to do both, and is it possible to get a number of clips on the same disc?

... so a lazy solution
from memory you do this a fair bit - so it might be worth investing in a one stop solution.
I don't do much video (don't even have a dvd player).
but me old ma does - so I occasionally drag a couple of old films out of my tivo and put them on dvd for her
and I use xillisoft video converter

it' shareware - so you can make sure first
