We've got it on our pc [two separate users]. I can't stand it and think it's a pain, but my daughter is always using it, so I wouldn't delete it altogether. I've disabled it from my startup, but when I use hotmail then go to my windows live e-mail it starts up, and also now, vice versa. is there any way we can keep it on the machine, but block it totally when I'm logged in? Thanks

Thanks ummm, but it regularly pops itself back on every so often
I think there is an option in msn to start it automatically when connected to the internet. Just unselect this option..
On the (somewhat older) version of messenger on this machine, you would use Tools, Options General to find the option to stop it starting when Windows loads
