Easy Transfer on Windows 7

Using the easy transfer connection I transferred some files (90% music) from my old PC to my new.

Rather naively I was expecting the files to go into ITunes where the rest of the music is.

Upon investigation I found a 'migrated documents report' in Excel that confirms all the files are now held in my new computer.
My question as a silly non tech person is how I get the transferred data into ITunes?

in Itunes click on the file menu, select add folder to library, then select the folder that contains all your music and click OK
