Does anyone know of a program (that actually works) for formatting SD cards that have been password protected by Nokia phones.
I've placed a password on my 1GB SD card and I can't remember the password, So i'm trying to format it but it won't let me - just throw your the error 'The disk in drive M cannot be formatted'.
I will give it a shot, I've had alot of problems with formatting software in the past. I will let you know how it goes. I will just buy another card if I can't get the damn thing to let me format :)
hmmm as your classing it as dead , maybe an idea to try using dos and fedsik the darn thing then format using your normal software .. hessitated in suggesting this as it may ruin the cards formating system
Then use the file manger to look on the card for /system/mmcstore
rename the file to mmcstore.txt and then bluetooth it to another phone or computer, open the file on the other phone or computer and the password will be shown. you can then unlock the card so it can be formatted.
I've already spent a while on them sites, the phone is a dinosaur, not even a smartphone. I've given up with it - it's a waste of time for a card that only cost about £2, probably b0rked anyways. Thanks for looking chuck, I appreciate it :)
