Hi, does anyone know where I can download a free version of this programme? I'm running on Vista and only need it for one document twice a month, so really don't want to have to pay out for it. The only ones I've found free are ones where you have to add a tool bar etc. and I'm not sure what to do....
Any advice?
open office is about 95% compatible with excel, some of the more advanced features are not suppoted but most people don't use the non-supoprted features anyhow. just make sure you set it to save in MS office format.
Hi Ratter....nice to see you again.......
Anyway I've down loaded it....and being a computer phobic....and idiot...I can't find it!
Where will it have down loaded to? I tried opening the doc that I need using the others tab [if that makes sense] and it's not showing as an option.

If you only want to read/view an Excel file then Microsoft do a FREE Excel Viewer at
http://www.microsoft....1c-8dcf-f33f669dbc3a.
I use Open Office and have never had any problems with it opening XLS files, etc.
Lol....I can't even find it to install it! I just clicked download on the site you gave and then nothing happened.
Told you....crap at computers.
