Ive just downloaded a copy of Office 2010 from the Microsoft website to my desktop. I believe it is for just 1 user, so can anyone give me an idea as to what would happen if I tried to put it on my laptop as well?

Thanks in advance.

Presumably you have downloaded the trial version?

In which case put it on as many things as you want, they will all stop working when the trial period runs out anyhow.

It is the full version. My company gets a discount on the software.
In that case I assume you've downloaded it from the microsoft volume licensing site?

I'n which case you need to speak to your IT department and see how many licenses they have allocated to you, I'd assume one, in which case you would be risking your job installing it on other computer.

Many thanks Chuck.
Misco have the student version on sale at £80ish for a 3 user licence. Word, Excel, Power Point and a lot of weird other stuff.
