Goos evening fellow ABers, any of you got experience of the "Homeplugs" that utilise your home's wiring system as an ethernet cable? As usual TIA, all answers / comments gratefully received!

Thanks, redman41, I think LOL
They are absolutely brilliant and save running miles of ethernet cable and much more reliable than the Belkin wireless usb adapter I tried at first. The homeplugs I use at the moment are the ones that came with my BT Vision box, but I also had good results with the Advent Powerline plugs I got from PC World.

Geoff.
What realaleman says.

I had wireless problems before so fitted homeplug devices to all my network items. Now run several with no problems whatsoever. Simple plug (literally!) and play.

Just watch what you get as I believe Homeplug is not compatible with Powerline. You need to use all the same.

Thanks guys. GKU35, can you please elaborate? Is one the software and the other the hardware?
