copy and paste

This has been happening for a while now, any help would be appreciated, when trying to copy and paste anything into the word processor I get the following message, ( using microsoft works 8.5 ) "The information you copied exceeds the size limit for pasting into The Word Processor try reducing selection then copy and paste again" Even if it's only a small paragraph, about the size of this question, this happens. cheers, dougie.
