For the last two weeks or so I’ve not been able to keep internet connection for more than a few minutes at a time, with only one or two exceptions when I’ve managed to stay connected for longer. I have pay as you go dongle with 3, Dell laptop with IE. I called their helpline, who say there’s nothing wrong with the network and they decided it was something to do with Windows Vista (which I have used successfully for a couple of years now). They wanted to put me through to their technical department, but at the time I couldn’t face struggling with both alien technical references and the language barrier. Similar probs have happened in the past and I’ve found that after a week or so it gets back to normal on its own, but going on for longer this time, so guess I’ll have to go down the technical route. But thought I’d just check if anybody else is suffering the same. I’m in north London. If I don’t respond to any answers immediately I hope the reason will be obvious, but I will when given the opportunity.
I had a pay as you go 3 dongle. It was a wast of time. They seem to be good at first then just slow down and give up after a few days. Id advise to get bt broadband and then join bt fon and connect to that when out and about with a usb wifi adapter if you dont have one built in your laptop. Id never get a dongle again. It works out cheaper in the long run with a proper broadband connection.
