Firefox is very flexible .. has more support than anything else around .. with lots of add-ons and is pretty easily fixable .. and back-up friendly ... and fast.
Also .. it's not made/shared by Google who want to control the world (after MS)
> MarkRae...went to the link..many thanks...but will it automatically reinstall IE8???
Going to the link will do nothing - you need to follow the instructions when you get there which will tell you how to uninstall IE9. IE8 won't need to be reinstalled, as it's already part of the operating system. Once you remove IE9, the machine will revert to using IE8 unless you install another browser, which you most definitely should.
I found everything boxy...........not sure I like the favourites at the other side though. I'm not having any problems with it running slow yet.........
I uninstalled IE9,now I have come to do my Windows update and the update is IE9,says important to install it...do I really have to...just got rid as I hate it..????????
Like most of the new generation Microsoft products, IE9 is different enough to create a learning curve. Office 2007 was widely bagged by some but those who took the time to adapt would never ever want to go back.
How I agree with you..messed up my PC no end.Have gone back to IE8 although Windows Update keeps wanting to put it back....no way do I wnat it again!!!!
