Another site which shall remain nameless has started to require new users to pay 1p with a credit/debit card in order to have their real names and addresses just in case they are thinking of trollery.
Are there any other non-shopping sites which require this? Would it be a good idea if this site introduced this requirement too?
I'd certainly need to be satisfied that any details I provided were 'fire-walled' and any site which has so spectacularly failed to deal with its own troll problem due to an absence of Editor/s and moderation, doesn't provide me with any confidence whatsoever.
No need for AB to do anything similar Trolls seem to be swiftly dealt with these days. I was nosy on on occasion and looked in to SAB. It was full outcasts and numpties!
I wonder while they're doing all these updates will they tighten up their (I haven't got a clue what words to use) security so that the codes can't be messed about with.
lol ^ chuck. From a quick read of an earlier thread that's gone now, another site seems to be attracting some rather adverse media attention - and not for charging 1p either.
A nominal charge would have put me right off AB - sets off all sorts of alarm bells.
