Internet Explorer Not Working On Laptop
I'm puzzled by this and hope someone can help. On my laptop Internet Explorer has stopped working and I can't open any web pages. However, Google Chrome still works fine, so I guess there is no problem with my internet connection.
What's happened and how can I fix IE please? :'(

I recently began getting problems with IE 8 which was my back-up Browser (Firefox being my default ) Everything back to normal after up-dating to IE 9 Go on-line via your Google Chrome and download IE and install. With a bit of luck it should work. http:// windows. microsoft. com/ en- us/ internet- explorer/ downloads/ ie- 9/ worldwide- languages Al.

IE8 developed a lot of problems despite being the last browser to run on Windows XP.
I wonder if it got neglected because Microsoft was not interested in XP especially after extending its life so long.
Anyway both IE9 and IE10 were big steps forward. On Vista + versions of Windows they use a more secure environment that became available on these operating systems. Running IE8 on a newer system definitely leaves unnecessary potential for attack.
BTW Firefox didn't use that environment even on Vista and 7 but I don't know if that is still the case. Chrome always used it.
