Cannot Delete Email

One of my emails refuses to be deleted; 'an unknown error has occurred'. I've had no problems with this sender before, I've deleted the same message from the BT Yahoo copy with no problem, and no other messages are affected. I've run a malware scan which showed up one item, which I have removed.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of it, please? It's in Windows Live Mail, on Windows 7, and Google Chrome.

I've just tried, and no I can't. 'The selected message could not be moved. A problem has occurred. Please try again.'

Switch it off and on again?

It cures most of the world's ills.

I've tried that too, Hopkirk. Maybe it's a glitch at the sender's end?

I just tried to open it again, but couldn't. However, this time it did delete, so I don't know what's been happening. Thanks for your advice Factor-fiction and Hopkirk.

I have that problem when on a Tablet occasionally.
