Cable Broadband Connection
1 Answers
We want to move broadband and phones into the next room. its virgin cable, the two phone sockets ( two numbers) are going to be extended as extensions, so no problem. the broadband router is connected to a co-ax cable coming through the wall with a "F" plug, then a "F" plug type extension lead to the router. can o.h. undo the brown box cover outside, run a new satellite co-ax from there to the new room, fit a "F" plug on the brown box end, and a satellite socket outlet on the other, then connect the router with a short lead with "F" plugs either end, or must we come through the wall with a bare cable and just fit an "F" plug as it is now.

Sorry I have no idea about the cables but I'm betting if you touch the outside Virgin box and it goes wrong then Virgin will charge you a small fortune to put it right.
