What is your view on phone-in or text competitions? I never do the former, rarely do the latter, because of the cost of doing so. If there is a comp (and I'm looking at the moment at the draws in Prima magazine), I'm much more likely to enter if it can be done on-line on my computer.
Yes, I know that the competition organisers rely on the phone/text entries to pay for the cost of whatever it is, but I resent that, it's a bit of a rip-off, IMO.
Hopkirk, I do those too - Dickinson, et al - I think they have to be included, it would be illegal otherwise, but I don't know how you find out (short of putting in an FOI request!)
I stopped buying Prima magazine for that reason, boxy. I think it's rip off. Yes, youcan send answeres on a postcard but I bet they don't even get looked at
I've often wondered if anyone has won the big cash prizes on This Morning and Loose Women by entering free online. How do they combine the phone, text and online entries to give all entrants a fair and equal chance of winning? Do they first have a draw to choose the method of entry that the winner will come from, then draw from all those that have entered that way??
