Google Chrome Browser

I've just started to use Google Chrome as my browser, but there is no small black arrow at the right-hand side of the address bar which, when clicked, shows the websites that I've visited. Is there something similar somewhere else? Also there doesn't seem to be a 'progress' bar at the bottom (green on Explorer) that moves left to right to show something is happening....

If you download a program, app etc you'll see a bar open up with a box on the left showing how long it will take to complete.
