Do you mean the symbol for news feeds at the bottom of the BBC web page?

Well, I've tried drawing it (based upon your description) and I've tried a Google image search for 'internet symbols' but I still haven't got a clue as to what it is that you're referring to!
It would help if you could tell us where you're encountering this symbol. Is it on your computer's desktop? Is it somewhere in your web browser (e.g. at the top or bottom of the screen) - and if so, which browser are you using - or is it appearing within a web page?

Well we seem to have established that it's a bit like this

but, as Prudie says, the position on the BBC News page would help and (as I've already said) the colour would be useful too!
