Website Builder
4 Answers
Hi.
I recently asked for a company recommendations for website hosting (possible dedicated or VServer (Virtual Server)). I decided to byte (little pun intended) the bullet and go with UK2.
They have a website builder that I can trail if I like (I can't yet as I need to wait till 09:00 EST which is when they will process my payment for the server hosting)...
What website builder would you use? preferably free (open source) or just a 28 day (month) software trial. I've used Dreamweaver in the past but not recently (at least 10 years). Do you, or have you, used DW recently and if so, how do you rate it?
I've build a couple of sites in the past using just notepad but that was many moons ago, my HTML is pretty diabolical now.
Thanks in advance,
Dizmo.

HTML and CSS have come on a lot recently. Brush up on your JQuery. Load up "Notepad++" and you're away :o)

There are many CMS -content management systems - using one of them you need little or no coding knowledge.
I have setup sites using CMS Made Simple, and I also admin a couple of sites that use Concrete. My work site is part of a bigger organisation and it uses Plone.
You may find auto installers come with your server space.
