I have just signed up for FREE to a site called Grammarly.
This corrects typographical errors one may make in typing by underlining them.
Clicking on the underlining gives a choice of words in replacement.
This may or may not be quicker than making manual corrections but it is fun.

Most people just use a spell-checker add-on for their browser. Not usre why you would need to sign up for a site to do that.

(of course, some of us ignore the spell-checker when we type "usre" instead of "sure".) :-)

Spell checkers don't work when the wrong spelling of a word is used, such as 'turn write at the end of the road' or 'I've sowed the buttons on'.
Maybe Grammarly highlights that sort of error, too.

In reply to Old_Geezer I would say that I have always understood that the Answerbank is there for discussion of topics of interest and not only for posting questions.
My purpose was to share news about something which is free of charge...Not to promote it for financial gain.Thank you,however for your comments.
In reply to The Chair and hc 4361 I have tested "usre "and sowed" and "write" and proved that corrections were offered in every case, namely user, sewed and right.

I used to have a word processor that checked spelling, grammar, punctuation, double words eg 'the cat jumped out of the the hat' and even capital letters.
This was many years ago before I had a computer and it was very useful.

I use CHROME and its spellchecker is forever telling me when I have used a homophone or the wrong grammar. Of course, it doesn't stop me from ignoring the ruddy thing !
