Is it legal to take part in the Irish Lottery from England, and if so, can anyone tell me how to go about it?

Used to be able to do the Irish Lottery from the bookies, but I'd imagine you can do it online these days

You can't participate directly[i in the Irish lottery. It's illegal to sell tickets for it in the UK.

However bookies can take bets on anything they like so, unsurprisingly, they take bets on the outcome of the Irish lottery, both in their shops and online. (The site in AC's link is that of a bookmaking service, not that of the Irish lottery itself).

I stand in with my mum and my niece each week having a go on the Irish Lottery. (my niece does the tickets at the bookies) So you are saying that in fact we ARE NOT playing the Irish lottery, just a bet on the outcome?
