I assume that means that you've accessed the GMX web interface via your browser. (You shouldn't need to go via Google though. Simply type 'gmx.co.uk' into your browser's address bar. Once you've got to the login page, bookmark it for future use). Once you've logged in, you'll see a blue bar across the top of the page, with 'Home', 'Email', 'Contacts', 'Organizer' and 'File Storage'. Unsurprisingly, it's 'Contacts' that you need to use to access your contacts list. (Simply click on a contact to create an email to that person. If you want to add a new contact, the relevant button is at the top left of the page).
I'm surprised that the dedicated GMX app ( https:/ /play.g oogle.c om/stor e/apps/ details ?id=de. gmx.mob ile.and roid.ma il& hl=en_G B ) is showing as not available in this country but that doesn't mean that you can't access your email via an Android client. Simply use the default Mail app, that comes with your phone, instead:

Great advice as always, thank you. Having logged in on the mobile, I do not see the headings that are you list - including contacts. It simply shows Home and New top left and Folders top right. Below that is a list which says Inbox, trash, Spam, Sent etc, Mail Collector and then any folders I have created.
If I click on New to create a new email, there is no access to my Contacts. I had hoped that click either on the "To" word or within where the email address goes that it would either bring up the address book or self complete once I started typing.
Ideally I need my screen to display the headings you describe. I will try clicking on the link you have given to get the gmx app and see if that helps.
Many thanks
John

As I cannot get a GMX app for android I have decided to give GMail a try. I used to use GMX to "collect" my yahoo mail, and found this great. It could show me all unopened emails in a single screen, and this would be a mix of yahoo and gmx. But what I liked was that it also had a folder for all the yahoo emails if that's all I wanted to view.
Using GMail it seems to put all emails collectively into one inbox, and I cannot see a way to separate out say the Yahoo ones. Is there a way that emails from one providor (Yahoo in my case) can be viewed without seeing all the others (Gmail ones for instance). I really liked GMX and cannot understand why there is not an app for android in UK. I have emailed them and awaiting a reply.

Below is the response from GMX re unable to get app for android. I have no idea how to use this information I'm afraid. Getting screenshots of something I have no understanding of is beyond me. Can anyone help explain what I need to do with this info, or should I just persevere with GMail LOL
Dear GMX Member,
Thank you for contacting us.
We currently do not have an app which is compatible with GMX international. Our developers are working hard in order to launch the GMX app.
However, it is possible to configure your account with your smartphone's native Mail app. The correct values to configure your account are:
SMTP Settings
* Server SMTP: mail.gmx.com
* Port SMTP: 25 or 587 (if you are using SSL)
POP & IMAP Settings
* Server IMAP4: imap.gmx.com
* Port IMAP4: 143 or 585 or 993 (if you are using SSL)
* Server POP3: pop.gmx.com
* Port POP3: 110 or 995 (if you are using SSL)
It is important to notice that your entire email address should be entered in every "username" field for your outgoing and incoming settings.
You can also use the following online guide:

If you experience issues configuring your mail client with your GMX account, please provide us with screenshots of your POP/IMAP/SMTP settings from your mail program, in order to further assist you.
