Microsoft Word

I want to be able to write letters,print or email them,i was told microsoft word was a good app to download as it`s free can anyone tell me if it`s any good please ?

Microsoft word is not free, There are free similar versions- eg OpenOffice. I know Buenchico speaks highly of them and they were okay when i tried them but I did sometimes have compatibility issues when exchanging documents with Microsft Word/Excel users.

As ff says Word is not free - Open office will save and open Microsoft Office format files, there may be some issues with compatibility but usually only with older Word versions. You can get a modestly priced version of MS Office on Ebay ( £35)

You don't need MS Word to write letters. Your own PC will have suitable software to do this simple task.
